Item upgrade is a system that lets players increase the power of weapons, armor and trinkets. It also provides some unique effects and special effects.
Most upgrades increment stats linearly, for example a level 20 Muscle Band will give +1 attack and +.5% attack speed. The system has a chance of failing, which would use up all upgrade materials.
Glyphs
Glyphs are an upgrade component that can be put in gathering tools to give bonuses or enhancements. They can be bought from the market or dropped from dungeons or Helltides. Each Glyph has a radius of its own. Players can make use of them to boost nodes within that radius. In addition to boosting nodes certain Glyphs offer additional rewards for meeting certain conditions. These rewards may include resources, XP or units.
Players must carefully consider all their options before choosing the character. The glyph of Nilrend, for example, has a high probability of negating an order marker on the opponent's deck, giving the player a slight advantage in the initial stages. The effect of this glyph decreases as more units appear on the board, and the odds to negate a unit decrease.
Other glyphs can have a direct impact on map control. For example, the glyph of Valda increases the range of all ranged units by 1 which is an impressive increase for many units that often struggle with slow movement rates (such as the Marro Stinger line or 4th Massachusetts). In addition to these units, this glyph works well on melee units that might have trouble getting into the proper position to deal damage.
Certain glyphs, such as the Discretionary Ligatures glyph are designed to improve fonts' visual appearance and may include additional characters beyond the standard font collection. This is typically done to make the font appear more realistic or to add additional embellishments.
Players can create their own Glyph Set by selecting the glyphs that they would like to include in it from the list in the Glyphs panel, and then choosing to add them to the Glyph Set from the Glyphs panel menu. Once they have added an individual glyph set, players can then look it up in the Glyphs panel menu by choosing View Glyph Set and selecting the name of the glyph set.
Growthstones
These items are similar to berries, in that they permanently increase your attributes. However unlike the berries, they don't increase your HP. You can obtain Growth Stones through completing certain tasks in the game or by combining two of them in the Nitro Cube. They can also be earned as rewards during the Ancient Arena season.
You can put them on your weapon or armor by using the Equipment Enchanting option. You can also craft these in major towns by contacting various crafter NPCs using the right recipe. There are several different types of Growth Materials and each can be used for various reasons. For example, Weapon Growth Stones are used to upgrade weapons, and Armor Growth Stones are used to upgrade armor. Active Skill Growth Books, and Passive Skill Growth Books can be used to upgrade skills that are passive or active.
These stones resonate with certain human characteristics within your body to make them stronger and more powerful. They do not make you a better or more different person, but they provide you with an extra push to face and deal with whatever aspect of your personality you'd like to change. It is your responsibility to make any real internal change yourself by changing your attitude towards the thing you want to change. This is the distinction between internal and external growth. For instance, moss-agate increases the quality of abundance and success, while lapis lazuli strengthens the quality of truth and self-awareness.
Item Enhancers
Item Enhancers allow players to enhance their Held Items in order to provide the ability to boost their stats or provide special effects that they can pass onto their Pokemon during games. These items are extremely useful in moving up the ranks in ranked play, especially for high-level players. The cost of upgrading these equipments is a major obstacle to progress.
A player can obtain Item Enhancers in many ways, such as the free rewards of leveling up their Trainer or completing missions and challenges or even from the Energy Reward Machine. The premium version of the game comes with a greater amount of Item Enhancers as rewards. However, many players must work for these items.
In addition to regular Item Enhancers, Pokemon Unite recently introduced a brand new kind of item dubbed Super Item Enhancers. These powerful items allow players to increase the level of their Held Items to the level of 30. These rare and expensive items, however, are limited. Therefore, they must be carefully chosen to ensure a player can level up the item that is most beneficial to their build.
Item Enhancers can be purchased from the Aeos Emporium for 10 Aeos Tickets per item, but they are also available through the free events Pokemon Unite hosts from time to time. These special events in game are able to distribute Item Enhancers to celebrate a milestone, or they may be provided as part of a challenge that has the duration of a specific time.
Most items increase their stats in a linear manner as they upgrade however the final stat of a held item can be more than double the initial value once it has been maxed out. For example, the Muscle Band increases its attack and defense stats by +1 each time it is upgraded to level 2, however when it reaches level 20, the stats are +15 attack and +7.5% attack speed.
The cost of these Item Enhancers is steep, but they are necessary for anyone looking to increase their performance in Pokemon Unite. It's a huge pain to have all the Held Items upgraded to the highest level however, those who are patient and committed will eventually be able to get it done.
